2018 Dog Licenses are available in the Town Clerk's Office.  Please be sure that the rabies vaccination is up to date.  Cost is $10.00 for unaltered dogs and $6.00 for altered.  Requests may be mailed in as long as a self addressed stamped envelope for return is included.  No licenses will be returned without postage included.  All dogs are to be licensed by January 1st, as per the Town By-Laws.  A form to license dogs will be included with your census as well.  For questions, please call the Town Clerk's Office at 978-724-6649 on Monday evenings, 5:30 - 7:00.

2018 CENSUS
The 2018 Census has been mailed out.  Please look it over.  Make any changes if necessary.  Once you approve of the information listed on it, please sign it and date it.  There is also a form to register your dog enclosed to make registering easier for you.  You can return it by mail or you can drop it off at the Town Office Building.  If you don't have a dog to register you can even scan and email it back to petershamtownclerk@verizon.net if that is easier for you.  This information is important for both public safety and for grants.  The school uses the information to try to plan for the upcoming school age children.  Failure to respond to the census causes your voting status to become inactive.  If this happens, when you come to vote you will be required to show proof of identity and to fill out an Affirmation of Current and Continuous Residence before you are given a ballot.
Please, take the two minutes out of your day and fill out and return the census.  Your Town Clerk really appreciates it.
